PC vs. Mac Versions

Hi,
Want to create a presentation for an interview. I have the
2002 version for PC and the employer wrote he's running
the "98 version". I don't know of a 98 version of PP...

Is that Mac only?

If so, where to begin about finding how our versions would
mesh... (i.e. is worth my time to create it, if it will
only look like garbage on his end...)
