PC will not shut down Winword.exe

A group of us recently got Office 2007 all worked great for about a week now
when we try to shut down at the end of the day we are all getting a
winword.exe error and we need to end now twice before our PC will shut down.

Any one else getting this or now how to fix it.

Have run office diag. but the problem came back.
