pcPresent included with Office XP?

Hi,

I'm attempting to test the presentation features of a
Polycom unit. The unit uses a Microsoft ActiveX program
called pcPresent to convert a PowerPoint presentation
into data the unit can understand. The information
provided says that Office 2000 is required to use the
feature but I'd like to know if pcPresent is available
with Office XP or downloadable from the web.

Any help would be appreciated as I can barely find any
info on pcPresent as it is.

Thanks,
Dave

I contacted Polycom and they said they are going to have a software update very soon that includes this support. In fact, for some of the more expensive polycoms this software has already been made available, so expect version 5.2 to come out soon for Polycom FX etc. You can just go to www.polycom.com to get the new software when it comes out.

I've already upgraded the ViewStation FX to 5.1.2 that
came out in December. Previous attempts at contacting
Polycom tech support led to confusion. Some people said
it should work with Office XP, others said it had to be
Office 2000. I tried one more time and got some better
help. They gave me a few different ideas to try so I'm
still working on those. They also let me know about a
bug where black and white only slides won't work. But
really, who would make a presentation with no colors =P
