pcx graphic insert Word 2007

Hi,
please advise on method to import graphic .pcx file into Word 2007.

I have in the past downloaded a filter for Word2003 and works OK in word2003.
I have tried a fix for 2003 as mentioned in discussion groups (search pcx):
copy from another pc that has the file to:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\GRPHFLT\PCXIMP32.FLT
RegeditRun
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shared Tools\Graphics Filters\Import\PCX
and added the strings
Extensions pcx
Name PC Paintbrush
Path C:\PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\MICROS~1\GRPHFLT\PCXIMP32.FLT

I then did a restart on the laptop. Then run word2007.
It was now able to recognise the file type as paintbrush, and has it listed
in the filetype list. selected pcx OK, then new window popup: Convert File
appears.
I then select PC Paintbrush again.
An Error message appears:
Microsoft Office Word
Yellow Triangle with !
An error occured while importing this file. \\.... filename.pcx.
It does not give an error number or reason. <OK>

Is/will there be made available a PCX filter in the near future?
Is the pcx filter compatable with Word2007 ?
Is there more that 2007 needs within itself to convert the pcx files ?
or does someone know a good fix ?
or hav I not dine the above correctly?

Who likes the ribbons ? I find they can get in the way a bit.
and why did MS have to change the Keyboard command ALT-F-V (Print Preview)

System Notes:
Office 2007 Basic
Win XP SP2 with all updates to Aug 15 2007.
