Pdf attachment closes immediately on opening thru action button

I am facing problem of pdf attachments closing immediately after opening by
clicking an action button in powerpoint before they can be viewed. Can
someone help on this matter

What PowerPoint version and what version of Acrobat Viewer are you running?
Do you get an error message?

I am using Powerpoint 2007 and Adobe reader 8. I do not get any error
messages.

Try running the latest updates for Adobe Reader. If I recall correctly, this
issue was fixed in an update.

I am running Adobe Reader 8.1.2 and it worked fine. If you are bringing up
the PDF as an animation, make sure you don't have 'disappear on next click'
slelected.
