PDF conversion problem

For some reason I am having problems converting a report that has an embedded
graph into pdf format. When viewing the report the graph shows up with all
of the data being correct, however, when I convert the report to pdf, the
graph disappears.

The weird part is that I have multiple reports with the same formats (same
layout and graphs embedded) One of the reports converts to pdf without a
problem, while all of the others do not display the graph correctly.

I found one other post from someone on these boards back in November who was
having the same problem, but there wre no solutions to his inquery. Does
anyone know what may be causing this or if there is a workaround?

It doesn't seem as if this is a problem that has an easy solution or that
many people have run into. That being said, let me add that I am able to
save the reports as snapshots and have everything turn out ok, it is just
when I try to convert the reports to a pdf that I have problems. If anyone
has any idea as to what may be causing this, please let me know.

MIGHT help to tell us what version of Access and what you are using to
convert your document to .pdf. Oh, and what does "...do not display the
graph correctly" mean? Does any part of it show?

Gina,

Sorry for the confusion. I am using Office 2007 and using the Office add-in
that enables you to convert reports to pdfs for the conversion (however,
after that didn't work I also tried other third party applications with the
same result).

Also, when I said the others do not display the graph correctly, I meant
that the graph does not show up in pdf format at all (I see the border for
where it should be but that is it). In print preview mode, everything works
fine and the graph is visible and correct. Additionally, I can export it to
a snapshot without any trouble at all. It is only when I try to convert to
pdf that I am having any problems.

Thank in advance for any help. BTW, nice tremors quote...it has been a
while since I have seen any of those movies.

Chad,

What is the Size Mode Property setting for the graph. Though I don't
understand why it works for some reports and not others let's try to see the
differences. Also, did you change any settings under Property for the
graph. Also are you sure that your .pdf isn't on two pages and the graph is
appearing on page two. Check and make sure you are only getting page one
and not two pages.

Thank you for your response. I actually was able to fix this problem. In
case anyone else runs into the same thing, this is what I found out:

Apparently there was either a timing problem or a complexity problem. After
going through a few troubleshooting steps I was able to isolate the problem
to whether or not I used the Child/Master properies in the graph itself (if I
used them to reference a field in my report, it would not export to pdf
correctly). In otherwords, based on the queries used to populate my graph as
well as the use of these fields, the graph was not repopulating completely
before sending the data to Adobe.

I solved this problem through referencing the fields directly in the query
that was populating my graph with the data I needed (As opposed to using the
Child/Master fields)
