I am trying to convert a MS Publisher 2007 newsletter to PDF - everthing
looks great apart from coloured text always converts as black. All the
graphics colours and photos convert fine- its just the text. Any suggestions?

I'm not seeing your issue here using Acrobat. Are you using Acrobat?

Are you using the Office add-in?
2007 Microsoft Office Add-in: Microsoft Save as PDF or XPS

If you are using a third party converter, try a different program. There are
many around.

I just now downloaded the add-in, it created the PDF with colored text. There
is advanced options in the save as or Publish PDF dialogue (click change). Maybe
your fonts cannot be embedded.

Thanks for your help - but I've changed the font to Arial and no difference,
I will keep looking through the options

Set to my default Brother colour inkjet - I've checked the settings. I have
tried today Adobe PDF web converter free trial - that converted OK but some
of the text overflowed - still want to use the PDF add in if possible

Try Nitro or EDocPrinter PDF Pro. The latter has more settings, but
sometimes things convert better with Nitro. (No idea why one works
better than the other at different times.) EDocPrinter has more
setting options for dpi, scaling, etc. For some graphics, Nitro works
better.

If you just print to a "normal" printer, does it print properly?

Good luck,

I work for Nitro PDF so if you run into any difficulties with the
product or need some tips on how to perform certain tasks, just shoot
me an email.

Do you experience this issue with every Publisher file that you create
or just this one newsletter? I can create PDFs from MS Publisher 2007
using the Publish as PDF feature or using the Nitro PDF Driver without
any problems and so can others, so the problem might be document
specific.

I'm experiencing the same thing. When I convert to a pdf file using the
"Publish to pdf" add-in, all the text converts to black. When I print to a
pdf using the pdf printer driver, it looks fine. My problem is that my file
has hyperlinks in it that I want to have exist in the pdf version. The
Publish to PDF one keeps the hyperlinks but prints with black text, and the
one using the printer driver keeps the text color but removes all the
hyperlinks!!!

Help!!!

Cheers,

Kit.
