PDF file closes

Using Word 2007 - Acrobat I have converted a file to PDF which is linked to
another PDF. The problem is when I click the link to the second PDF file
within the first, the first PDF file closes and the second one is displayed.
Is there a way for the second PDF file to be displayed in a new window?

For that you would need to consult the help for the PDF viewer that you are
using.
This is not affected by Word.
