PDF file has different font

Publisher displays a special font and prints it just fine but when I
"Publish as PDF" for the document, what should be the special font in the
pdf file is a different font.

Any suggestions?

I suspect the font cannot be embedded.

Are you using Acrobat? Not all fonts can be embedded.
What version Publisher are you using? If you are using 2007 try the Office 2007
*save as PDF* add-in.

I'm using MS Publisher 2007. There is a built-in option in the File menu
to "Publish as PDF or XPS..." Using that option results in a PDF file with
one of the fonts wrong.

If I do a Print using PrimoPDF, a free printer driver that generates a PDF
file, the resulting file is fine. The only disadvantage here is that a
landscape printout with PrimoPDF gives a portrait view in Acrobat. The
Publisher PDF is properly oriented in Acrobat (but with a wrong font).

Make sense?

Thanks,

Ah, there must be different levels or formats of PDF files (?).

PrimoPDF, a free printer driver for generating PDF, does not have the
problem but the resulting PDF may have some other limitations.

Guess I'll just stick with PrimoPDF and not use Publisher's PDF save
option.

I downloaded your font and tried to publish it as a PDF, Acrobat would not embed
the font.
The Microsoft add-in had no problem with the the font.

I'm still surprised the free printer driver PrimoPDF generates a PDF which
includes the font in question but Publisher does not. I guess I need to
learn more about Acrobat and PDF formats.

Thanks again,

lorendi
