When Entourage receives an email with an attached pdf file from our canon imagerunner 5055 copier it will not open. It gives an "Insufficient data for an image" message. If you were to open and close that message on a pc and then open it with Entourage it opens fine. I have both and could live with it, but I am the only one with both a pc and a Mac. Other mac users have said if they open it in apple mail they can see it. Any idea's or solutions? Thanks

Do you see a link at the top of the message in Entourage that will allow
you to download the entire message?

No. I saw that on the message board and was excited that it was something simple but unless it's hidden it's not showing up for me. There is an envelope icon with "Attached Image" next to it but when I click on it it just minimizes the message.
Thanks

You are looking in the wrong place. It's at the top of the message window.

Have you checked in your Account to see if you have partially download
messages set? Click on the Options tab of accounts to check.

Okay, I checked the options and "Receive complete messages" is/was selected.

Oops, I read the check box wrong. I thought it said I was answering the question. Sorry -- I still need help.

Then you do have the complete pdf. It could be a poorly created pdf. Have
you tried to open it in Preview? What happens to this pdf if you download
into Apple Mail?

It is a complete pdf and I've changed the pdf file from 200x200 all the way up to 600x600dpi with no luck. When I open the email it gives a preview of the pdf and it usually looks like ink smeared across the paper. The person who has Apple Mail said they open the email, save the attachment to their desktop and then open it. I tried it through entourage -- I saved it to the desktop and then tried to open it and I just receive the "insufficient data for an image" message. Thanks for all your help.

When sending the examples, the developer asks for the following info.

Was the file stuffed? How?
What software was used to create?
Was this through an internal server or via the internet?
Were fonts included? Did you have problems with certain fonts?

Add two more...

Is it only in Entourage that you have problems viewing? If you open in
Preview or another application can you view it there?

Do you use font management software?

I've replied to this but it keeps sitting in Outlook saying it's been delayed -- twice on Saturday, once on Monday and Today. I'm not ignoring your request.
