PDF message when opening Word

Remove the PDF.Dot template from the Word Start-up folder.

Following those instructions would be a good start . Adobe Acrobat (not a
Microsoft or Office product) installs Office add-ins that can cause
occasional problems. Either remove or reinstall it from Control Panel, or
from your Adobe Acrobat CD.
