PDF not correct size when imported to Publisher 2007

I am creating an event program and most of the sponsors are giving me their
ads in PDF format. Now, the PDFs are being created with Adobe (suprise) and
when printed they are the correct size. I open them in PhotoShop or
Illistrator and they show as the correct size, 8.5"h x 5.5"w.

So now, when I import them into Publisher, they come in at the wrong size.
Worse yet, the aspect ratio is off. Whats going on? Why are they correct in
Adobe but not in Publisher?

Could be all the products you mention are Adobe; therefore compatible.
Have you tried copy/paste from PhotoShop or Illustrator into Publisher?

If you are using Photoshop any way then do yourself a tremendous favor
and modify the pdf within photoshop and export to a more common
graphic format.

I use InDesign predominantly for page layout but still edit pdf in
photoshop from time to time(you can import directly into indesign).

Amongst other things you can massively reduce the file size(pdf)with
photoshop and add effects or whatever - so you are ready to go in
publisher.

Also if 99% of your content is pdf I seriously would consider creating
interactive pdf documents It is very easy and you can still get your
value from Publisher because acrobat has no formal page layout ability
essentially you reverse the process you create in publisher and render
in pdf.you can also do this with power point.
