pdf not printing some photos

When I print to pdf a document that document that contains eight photos, 2
photos do not appear in the final pdf.

Anyone know what the problem could be?

Word for Mac version: Word X Service release 1

If you are in fact using Word X Service Release 1 that means you are nine
updates behind and that won't help at all :) Just check that you have in
fact applied 10.1.9. If you haven't, it's here:
http://www.microsoft.com/mac/downloads.aspx?pid=download&location=/mac/downl
oad/OFFICEX/OfficeX_1019.xml

Now: I can think of six reasons you could be getting this problem:

1) Word X had a bug where photos would slide behind the visible layer of
the document and would thus not print. It was fixed in one of the updates.

2) The photos are off the page (won't fit)

3) The photos are not in the document (Word can't reach them while trying
to print)

4) The photos are in Hidden or Deleted text.

5) The photos are not in RGB colour standard.

6) The photos are too big.

To eliminate 2) and 4), go to File>Print Preview in Word. If you can see
them in Print Preview, they are on the page, they are not hidden, and they
should print. If they're missing from Print Preview, they can't be printed.
(Print Preview throws the file at your printer driver, then brings it back
to the screen to show you exactly what you are going to get... If it's bad
in Print Preview, it's never going to print...). To fix hidden text, select
the picture and check Format>Font, make sure Hidden is not checked. To fix
Deleted text, look in the help under Tracked Changes.

3) To make sure the photos are actually in the document, try to send the
document to a different machine. If the photos appear when you open it
there, they're in the document! If they don't, re-insert them.

5) Microsoft Office applications can handle only 24-bit RGB colour. If you
have been playing in PhotoShop and saved the pictures as 32-bit CMYK or
48-bit HSB, sorry, Word can't do that. Save them back as RGB.

6) Modern digital cameras can produce vast photos, way bigger than most
printers can rasterise. If you have been playing with a 12 megapixel
camera, you may have to down-sample that photo or your printer will run out
of memory trying to print it.

If I were a betting man, I would bet on numbers 1 and 2 as being most likely
:)

Hope this helps

Hi Little Creature:

Thanks! Nice to see you have been working so hard while I was away :)

But I am afraid I do not see a career as a clairvoyant in my future :)

Cheers
