PDF Preview in Access 2003

Is there an ActiveX or API available which allows to show a thumbnail of a
PDF document in an Access Form. I want to give the user a chance to get an
impression of the first page before opening the pdf, which is not the problem.

you can try to use Imagemagik to create bmp thumbnail and then show it in
access image control:
