I'm trying to send a project schedule to an associate that does not have
project on his computer. The project runs from Feb to Feb - one year. I
experimented with Page Setup, selecting the largest page I could find which
was 200x600 mm approx; I also chose months on the Project timetable. I then
printed it with Adobe PDF but the end result wasn't satisfactory. The months
only went out 2 months.

suggestions please. Thank you

Try looking moe carefully at the PDF, the remaining months are probably on
additional pages.

Before printing to the PDF, go into File/Page Setup...
Set the scaling to "Fit to 1 page wide by ??? tall"

Pick a reasnable value for ???. If you select a large number (like 10000)
then it will effectively ignore that value and print to a reasonable number
of pages tall. However, don't go too small on the "tall" measurement or you
will get a schedule too small to read.

We routinely print to 1x100 on 11"17" pages (280mm x 430mm) with great
results.

Jim, would you say a little more about your solution as described below. I'm
still struggling with getting the consistent end result: a schedule with the
type, (I'm not using the term 'font' deliberately as the selected font size
has nothing to do with the end result), large enough to read with a
magnifying glass.

I went to page set-up, selected 11 x 17 and selected (1) page wide x 1000
tall (also tried 10000) and both showed in print preview as 5 pps but with
the type much too small.

I assume the way Project compresses the font is based on a variety of
factors including the height of the bars and the placement of the text to the
right, left, top and bottom of the bar. I made sure the bar text is all to
the right or left of the bar so as to not add to the height of the overall
row, but that doesn't seem to help either.

You've been so helpful on a variety of issues, thank you - Swell
