PDF size with new fonts (e.g. Cambria)

When I save a document that uses one of the new fonts, like Cambria, it
increases the PDF by around 300K. For example, I saved a Word document using
the "Times New Roman" or "Palatino" fonts and the file size was 92K. When I
saved it using "Cambria", the file size was 345K.

Is there a setting somewhere to prevent this overhead? Is it a bug with
Microsofts Office 2007 PDF add-in?
