I want to load pdf floor plans to visio, how do I make the information
intelligent so that I can use it for stacking a building?

well, you first have to find an application that will turn the pdf file back
into some form of vector graphics that visio can edit.

normally I just ask the people forwarding the document to use a different
format that is compatible with what I need to get done. Based on the name
(pdf2cad) you might have better luck. I'd start by checking what their
definiton of a cad file is so I could verify if visio supports it.
sorry I'm not much help on this one,

Can't you just select the graphic in Acrobat with the "Graphics Selector"
and paste the result into Visio? It'll probably be just a bitmap, but you
can still resize it and place furniture or network equipment on top of it.
Not as nice as vector data, but if you're in a hurry....
