Version: 2004 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) Processor: Intel I have a relatively large document (1.7MB) and would like to do a pdf output from the print option. Instead of a single pdf file the program creates 4 separate files ( there are 4 sections, The orientation is portrait in some sections and landscape in others). Any suggestions of creating a single pdf file output.

This is a known issue, and there is not much you can do. Changes in page
orientation result in different print jobs, one for each section, and
the output is a series of PDF files. You can combine these individual
PDF files using Automator, or applications such as Combine PDFs:

Note that in Mac OS X 10.6, you can use Preview to combine PDFs, which
greatly simplifies things. Also, Word 2008 offers a Save as PDF feature,
which *might* result in a single PDF file. Just an incentive if you ever
decide to upgrade either your OS or Office.
