PDF'd visio drawing loses text

Regina

In using Visio Professional 2002 SR-1, the following
problem occurs:
When I "PDF" a word document that has a Visio drawing
embedded in it the text from the Visio drawing disappears.
Our current work-around is to copy the Visio drawing into
MSPaint, copy it as a bitmap and then the text stays
intact affter PDFing.
But is there any way to avoid this extra step?
TIA

Hello,
Please try the below mentioned steps & i am sure it should resolve the
issue. If not then do mail me back.

Set the PDF Print Quality option to 600 dpi. Please follow the steps
mentioned
below to change the DPI value to 600 in print quality.

Step 1. Exit from Visio and Acrobat.
Step 2. Choose Start > Settings > Printers and Faxes.
Step 3. In the Printers and Faxes window, select Adobe PDF.
Step 4. Choose File > Printing Preferences.
Step 5. In the Adobe PDF Printing Preferences dialog box, click the Layout
tab, and
then click Advanced.
Step 6. Click the plus sign (+) next to Graphic to expand the view, and
then select
Print Quality. Choose 600 dpi from the Print Quality menu.
Step 7. Click OK in the Adobe PDF Converter Advanced Options dialog box,
and then
click OK in the Adobe PDF Printing Preferences dialog box.
Step 8. Open the word document containing Visio objects linked & print the
document in Adobe Pdf
