One insecure way to do this would be to put your pdf files in a folder and
don't put an index page in that folder...if the folder permissions are set
for "browsable" then the folder contents will be displayed much like a
folder on your local machine only they will be links to the actual files.

| searching for a file in Explorer. Quite often we send multiple pdf
documents
| to clients (or copy the documents onto CD for a client). Currently we do
| this through Explorer from files loaded on one of our network drives.
