PDS Extension to update Enterprise Custom Fields

Has anyone here written a custom PDS extension to update the Enterprise Task
Text and Number fields? This is not supported in the standard API.

We are in the middle of an implementation trying to automate the creation of
Projects from data stored in our ERP system and need to populate these
fields. I have successfully completed everything else but this phase and was
hoping that I wouldn't have to re-invent the wheel.
