PDS Health as an indicator of Project Server Health

Steve Ingham

If PDS responds correctly with an XML document, would this indicate that
Project Server (and SQL Server) is functioning properly? And if PDS fails,
then Project Server has some issues?

My Task: Continuously check the health of Project Server *AND* send email
when unresponsive. The Project Server Monitor Tool does not send email as
advertised.

Is the source code for the Health Monitor Tool available?

Thanks.

It will be worth repeating this question in the project.server group, but
for PDS to function correctly, certainly a lot of systems need to be
working! However, it is unlikely to flag all errors. There is nothing that
beat an eyeball check of the event log on the project server box.

I don't recall seeing the code for the Health Monitor tool made available.
If Google can't find it I doubt it if it is!!
