PDS - Update Task

Is there no way of doing this using the standard Project Server PDS
webservice methods?

Has anybody been able to do this by writing a PDS Extender? (is there any
other way?)

Gunnar,

The problem is that when you update a task, project may need to make
calculations. For example, if I change the duration of a task, every task
that is dependent on this task could have a new start date. Because of
this, if you are changing duration, start, finish, actuals, task links, or
any other task field that results in the calculation event running in
Project, I would suggest that you use the Project object against an open
Project plan.

If you are looking to change non-calculating fields such as task name,
text1, deadline, etc., you can do it using either a custom PDS extension or
use straight SQL.
