Pearson's r

Hi,

I am taking a statistics class and have excel version X, 2004. I need
to correlate using Pearson's r. I also need you to speak to me about
how to do this as if I am retarded. All of the help so far is way too
technical for me to fully understand. I am a visual learner so
visuals help me if you can find any.

Thanks,

I desperately need help. Class is over this weekend.

Relax, it's really very simple!
The function is
=PEARSON([array of x values],[array of y values])
note that x-values are the independent ones and y-values are the
dependent ones

So, if your x-values are in cells A1:A10 and the corresponding y-
values are in B1:B10, into another cell type

=PEARSON(A1:A10,B1:B10)

and you are done!
Of course, you should substitute your actual range of x and y values
for my example of A1:A10, B1:B10

Here's a visual

Study hard and do well on the final!
