Per-session cookies, and try to log on again (5011)

Dear Microsoft Professionals!

Could anyone please explain problems with 5011 error code (per session
cookies) during logon processes to Project Server via Web Access.
If I use IE 6.0.26 logon is successful, if IE 6.0.28 with SP1 - the 5011
error appears.

I have seen this error with a client before and it was caused by using a "-" (dash) in the name of the server. Ex. if your server name is SERVER-PRJ and you access project web access by http://SERVER-PRJ/ProjectServer, you will most likely get the error you described. Client was not able to upgrade IE at the time so we renamed the project server to exclude the dash.
