per use cost for resource -- spread across period?

I have a resource that has a per use cost. I can spread this per use cost
across the period I use this resource (not pay all up front)....If I pay
$10,000 as a per use cost, and utilize this resource for 12-months, I can
spread this per use cost over 12 months. In Project Pro 2003 this per use
cost is assigned at the beginning of the task this resource is assigned to.
How can I spread this per use cost across the duration of the task?

Hello Jesse,

I'm sorry, but to the best of my knowledge per use costs accrue at
either the beginning of the task the resource is assigned to or the end.
If the resource's cost accrual is set to "prorated" the cost per use is
applied at the start of the task. If you set the resource's cost
accrual to "end" the cost per use value is applied at the end of the
task.

You could use a task fixed cost as a work around. The default fixed
cost accrual is prorated and can be modified on the Calculation tab
through Tools > Options.

Cost per use is assesed on a per-task basis, hitting your budget once for
EACH separate task the resource is assigned to. Are you saying this
resource is assigned to a single task with 12 month's duration?
