Can anyone tell me how to show percentage complete on the summary bars? It shows up fine for the individual task, but not the summaries. Any feedback appreciated
Rick
Format | Bar styles ... choose the Summary bars row, click on the Text
Tab, choose
Left, Right, Top, Bottom or Inside and select % Work Complete or %Complete
as
appropriate.

Thanks John, that put the actual % Complete figure into the summary bar, but is there a way of creating the % Complete black bar as per the individual tasks, into the summary bar?
Rick
I don't believe so. This is as close as you can get:
Select the sub-tasks that you want rolled up.
Click on the Task Information button (it looks like a tabbed card) on the
Standard toolbar
Click on the General tab
Set the Roll up Gantt bar to summary box to "checked".
If you want to do this as a default (and not just with selected tasks)
click on Format | Layout and put a checkmark in "Always roll up Gantt
bars".
Thanks John, that put the actual % Complete figure into the summary bar,
but is there a way of creating the % Complete black bar as per the
individual tasks, into the summary bar?

Format/Text Styles, scroll down to the next blank space and enter Summary.
Chose a thin style and give it a colour. In show for: enter Summary, from:
Start to: Complete through.

I was a bit busy doing other things but finally got back to my MS Project issue. Your suggestion did the trick, and I now have a dark green line as well as a number indicating percentage complete for my Summaries. You had me worried though, since you wrote 'Format/Text Styles' instead of 'Format/Bar Styles', but figured it out
Appreciate your help Mike and John, and until next time.
