performance of DAO vs 2007

Has anyone compared if there is any difference in performance in Jet/DAO vs
the engine in 2007 (Like SQL durations of fetches, DB inserts, vba code
execution in general, etc)....

There was a good article years ago that compared Jet 3.0 vs Jet 3.5, but
that is where it stopped. Couldn't even find a good article on Jet 4.0. So
now I am curious on the new engine ?

It's most likely that the design of your application will have the biggest
effect on its performance, I would not worry about the inherent performance
of the database engine. A lot will also depend on how powerful your hardware
is.
