Performance problems with Outlook

I'm running Office 2007, Outlook 2007, and Vista Home Premium. My email is
IMAP. Outlook has mutliple problems including A) Very slow to load my
calendar whenever I click on it. B) Reminders that I dismiss continue to
re-appear. C) Inbox shows an unread message when there is none. D) When I
send email from the Outbox, it always indicates that it is sending 2 more
messages than there are in the Outbox. So if I'm sending one message, it
shows sending 3.

I have attempted to load the Outlook Performance update, but I get an error
message stating that "the expected version of the product was not found on
the system." I have run the office diagnostic, which finds no problems, and
repaired Office and re-booted. Sure would like some help.

Try running Outlook once with the /cleanreminders switch for B.
For C try "mark all as read" and see if it behaves.
A might be your system specs.

Thanks, Bill. I think your advice resolved B & C. Now, A is the real
problem. I'm using a brand new Dell machine, which is very well decked out
with memory, processing speed, etc. Maybe you can elaborate on the system
specs comment for me? Thanks.
