Using XP200 Pro running MS Word 2003. The "Text Width" setting on the path
= |View > Zoom > set percent | is not retained upon a Save and Close.

Exiting from the "Full Screen" mode closes all active MS Word windows
available with Alt-Tab.

What is XP200 Pro?

Second problem sounds like the Handwriting Recognition bug. Run Office Setup
and remove the Handwriting Recognition option under Alternative Inputs
section. Restart Word and the problem should now be resolved. You may run
Setup again and add Handwriting Recognition back again if needed: the
problem will remain cleared.

Word should remember the zoom setting when the document was saved and closed
but note that you must actually make some form of manual edit before the
save: just changing the zoom and saving won't work.

If it still fails to work, is anything being saved to normal.dot (do you get
the prompt when closing?). Have you got Acrobat Writer v7 installed?
