I posted a message yesterday asking if anyone knew how to calculate days in a
period. After following through with one of the resolutions posted (which
worked great by the way), I was given clarification as to whay is really
needed.
I need to be able to use the number of days in our pre-defined periods to
calculate Average Daily Census. Our fiscal year runs Sept-Aug, which means
Period 1 equals September with 30 days in the period. October is Period 2
with 31 days and so on with November, December....I also need to take into
account Leap Years with the 29 day periods in February.
The formula being used for Average Daily Census is Patient Days divided by
Number of Days in the Period. I have a field for Patient Days on my form and
a field for Number of Days in the Period, as well as a text box for Fiscal
Period, where the user may input 9/2005, 10/2005, 11/2005, etc.
