OK Folks, this is (to me) a weird one, but it seems fairly obvious to me
that I don't fully understand the security settings. Here's the deal:
MS Access 2002, running on Win XP Pro, and being used from a (Windows)
Power Users account.
I created all my tables manually, and then went to use the query wizard,
and I got an error dialog that said simply, "Permission Denied".
I fiddled for a bit, and discovered the following:
a) The "Permission Denied" error occurs when I try to run *any* wizard.
Table, Query, Form, you name it.
b) The error is not confined to this db. A new db produces the same
results.
c) The error occurs *irrespective* of any (Access) security settings
(ie. table owners, permissions (ie. User or Owner), etc., etc.)
d) The error DOES NOT OCCUR when I run Access from the (Windows)
Administrator account.
Any clues, security gurus?
