I get permission denied errors when I try to install MS office standard 2007
and some other programs.

I am the administrator. How do I get permission?

For a list of all PC groups see: Office Discussion Groups. This is an Office
for Mac list.

You're not alone. It has to do with your Applications folder.

Get info on any file or folder in Applications. You might see that the
Admin has permissions to read/write, however that's not you.

Create a new folder in Apps folder. Get info. Your name Should be on
the list.

Move Office into this folder. Get info on the folder. At the bottom of
the window, click the gear and choose Apply to Enclosed.

Delete the old folder and rename the new one using the same name as the
old folder that MS created.

That might do it for you.

Cheers,
Leigh

Hi Leigh -

I think you missed a key point: The OP is on a Windows system, not a Mac.
