permission error with win 7 after easy windows transfer

Used ewt to transfer settings from win 7 beta to win7 later version.
It will not allow access to outlook.pst file saying I don't have permission
to access that file. I have tried to change all manner of permissions to no
avail.
Then on a laptop with win 7,same version, but with clean version of outlook
on it, the outlook.pst file opened with no problem.
Somehow the ewt has stuffed up the settings in the outlook 2007 program and
I cannot get it to work.
Any help much appreciated.

windows easy transfer messes up outlook.

did you try making a new profile and linking the pst to it?
