Permission issue

Dear Colleagues,
I need a little assistance regarding a permission related issue. We have a
Project Server 2007 and my colleague experienced that there is document
library, where the permission entries are disappearing time to time. He
grants rights for two AD users, and after one or two days the users are
complained that they can not open the library. At the first sight I thought
there is a scheduled task or AD sync what can cause this symptom. That is why
I turned on the "Editing users and permissions" audit at "Site Collection
Administration" section. After that, I was surprized, because I did not find
the "Audit Log Reports" link. How can I check the audit log? ...and more
importantly: Have you ever seen this kind of problem before? Sorry for the
dumb questions, but I am a beginner in Project Server solutions.
