Permission problem after XP upgrade (Acc97)

Rob

Good morning,
Has anyone seen any issues with permissions to Access 97
objects after an upgrade to Windows XP has taken place?
I have a user that is unable to Open/Run a form he created.
Yet, when I look at the permissions, everything shows that
he should be able to open it. I can open it on my
machine, but I ahve Windows 2000 Pro.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks,
Rob

We have 3 machines running Windows XP Pro and the
remainder are running 98. We found that the users on the
XP machines have to be set up as Administrators to be
able to do anything. I don't allow them to create
anything of their own, however, within the application
queries and temporary tables are created. This is not
being allowed if we have the users set up as limited
users. My tech has yet to figure out how to set them up
as Power Users so that we could test that as a possiblity.
We prefer that the users do not have the ability to
install software on their own.
Hope this can help you.

Terri,

Thank you very much for the info.
It will certainly be useful as more of our users are
upgraded to XP.

As it turns out the user I had with the problem just
wasn't using the proper shortcut.
Thanks!
Rob
