I am currently looking to acquire an add-on for our instance of WSS3.0
that will allow us to save all of our site's permission settings down
to the folder/item levels. We require this capability so that we can
move forward with operations on the site that may or may not affect
permissions. In which case, we would like to restore permissions to
the site exactly as they were down to sub-folder and item levels.
Does such an add-on or software exist? All add-ons I've encountered
thus far gave no indication of permissions backup capability.
