permissions on resources

Is there any possibility in MOPS 2007 to assign permission on resources?

I want that a department manager will able to view and assign only resources
of his own department. What is the best way to do so?

Yes, you can assign permissions to a resource by adding the resource to one
of the default security Groups in Project Server 2007. And yes, it is
possible to accomplish your second goal as well, but you need to do the
following first:

1. Enter your company's pseudo "org chart" in the RBS lookup table.
2. For every resource in the Enterprise Resource Pool, you need to specify
an RBS value to tell Project Server "who reports to whom."

I'm a newby for MOPS 2007 so I didn't know about RBS. Now I've examined this
feature and considered it very useful.
