Permissions to boom resource rooms via Query distribution groups?

Is it possible to use a Query based Dsitribution group as the group to choose
when selectign users and groups for either Automatically being able t obook a
resource, or to be able to submit manual requests for approval, etc

it seems that when I use a query based distribution group, it does not seem
to have an effect. I created a query based distribution group to include all
users that had my domain suffix as their email address, but when I go to book
a room that I setup for manual approval and to tentatively accept all manual
requests,

I get a "you do not have permission to schedule this resource" response.

If i change the permission options to "Everyone", I am able to schedule the
room just fine?

And if not Query based distribution groups, is there any way to include a
"query" based group
