Permissions to update a post.

I have a Custom form (IPM.Post.Form-25) in a Public folder that needs to be posted by anyone in a distribution list that I have given permissions. Then at any time anyone in the same distribution list can change/enter data in fields of these posts. I have given permissions for this too.
The problem is that when updated and the user tries to save the post they get an error saying: “You do not have the permission to send the message on behalf of the specified user.†I have gone as far as to make everyone in the distribution list have full Owner permissions but only the original user that posted the form or a user logged in under the Exchange Service account can save the changed post.
What do I need to do to allow these changes?

Did you try using a security group, not a distribution list, to set
permissions?

I finally found what looks like the fix for this.

In the folder properties Administration Tab I changed to:

Drag/Drop posting is a: Move/Copy

"Formats a moved or copied item exactly as it appears in its original location. The person who originally posted the item remains the owner of the item, and the user who moved or copied the item to the folder is not indicated."

This didn't make sense to me because dragging and dropping is not what I was doing but if it fixes it I'll go with it.
