Permissions

I have a problem with a work database. Years ago an
employee made a microsoft access database that serves as
our document tracking system. We had to move the
database, and we can not access the database. The popup
tells us that we do not have the necessary permissions to
use the 'document.mdb' object. It goes on to say have
the person who create the object establish the
appropriate permissions for us. We do not know who or
when it was made. It there a way to correct this?

The database was secured. When you moved it (do you mean just to another
folder, or to a different computer?), you would either need to also move the
workgroup file, and/or modify the desktop shortcut you used to open it in
it's old location, to point to the correct workgroup file.
