perpetual license product key

when I open an expired trial component of office 2007 prof., and you choose
to get a perpetual product license key, it tries to immediately install the
full version, before I've even paid for it.

Obviously, I need to know how much it's going to cost me before I install
it. I don't want to install and find that they say I owe them $1000 something
stupid like that.

Yet when you go to MS articles, none of them tell us how much a perpetual
license product key costs. I don't see any price listed at vendor sites
either.

So HOW MUCH does a perpetual license product key cost? Simple question, gee
whiz.

Or is the cheapest way to just trash the thing and buy full version from
NewEgg, etc. ?

We paid $100 for textbook and trial version, so they ought to give us some
kind of discount for full version.

Discount? was it an MS produced book?
Generally, amazon.com is a cheaper route for the software, and as there are
various versions the price differs

I don't know what textbook you're talking about but the trial version is
free.
