Wondering if anyone else is having (or had) issues with Outlook 2003 under XP
(fully patched OS and Office) and Google Apps accounts.
I have a Google Apps account which includes Gmail with our own domainname.
I've recently installed a PC with XP SP2, etc. and Office 2003. Configured
the POP3 setting per Google's reqs. (see
http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=13278&topic=1556) which
basically state
Incoming POP3: pop.gmail.com
Outgoing SMTP: smtp.gmail.com
Username: (e-mail address removed)
Password:
Outgoing reqs. auth (using same as incoming)
Incoming/Outgoing req. SSL
Ports are POP=995 SMTP=465
I am able to connect, and send/receive but it seems that once a day Outlook
stops sending for no explained reason. The remedy is to shut down the app
and restart a few times while re-sending ALL. Eventually something connects
and it goes out but it is annoying.
Anyone else experience this or something similar?
