Persistent folder list

Maybe I'm missing something in the OneNote SP1 preview, but it sure would be
nice if it were possible to make the drop-down folder tree persistent as a
way to visualize the heirarchy of notes -- like the very useful equivalent
feature in Outlook. The "Page list" is nearly worthless for my purposes
because it shows nothing of the heirarchical relationships between the
folders, sections and notes and displays all sections as equal. The
drop-down tree has everything I need, but there's no "pin" icon, or any
other apparent way to make it permanently visible.

You're not missing anything. It is not possible to have
the folder list stay persistent.

I've gotten used to using the on-screen layout of the
tabs, folders and pages as the hierarchy. That may have
been the intention in the design.

That may be something to be included in a future
version. Your feedback here is probably already noted,
but you may want to send a note to (e-mail address removed)
to ensure it reaches the appropriate people.
