Personal Contact missing from Contact List in Microsoft Outlook 20

I have added a personal contact and have been able to see this contact in my
contact list up until today when it did not appear in my contact list. When
I closed Microsoft Outlook and opened it back up again then went into my
contact list, the contact reappeared in the contact list. What is going on
with the Contact list in Micorosoft Outlook 2003?

What do you mean by a "personal contact?"
What do you mean by "contact list."
Neither of those are terms Outlook uses so we're not sure what you're
referring to.

Let me see if I can explain this in simpler terms. I created a New Contact
in MsOutlook 2003 and clicked on the save and close. Now when I go into My
Contacts, this contact will be displayed, but about a week ago this New
Contact that was created and saved in My Contacts disappeared from the My
Contacts. Does this make sense?

The most common reason a Contact fails to appear in a Contacts Folder after
it is saved is that the user was in a different folder when it was created.
"My Contacts" is not a Contacts Folder at all. It is the heading for all of
the Contacts Folders in your Outlook profile. Many people end up with more
than one Contacts Folder over time without realizing it. Use Folder List
view and expand it to see if you might have more than one Contacts Folder.
Another common reason is that some users open the address book view to
create their Contacts thinking that's where their Contacts reside. Contacts
created there may disappear.
We have no reports of Outlook just randomly failing to save a Contact if
that's what you think happened.

outlook and how can you combine these multiple contacts folders back into one
if that is the case?
