I've recently begun to experience a problems when opening Outlook 2003. I
get an error message to say thea the file C:\......\local
settings\applications\microsoft\outlook\outlook.pst file cannot be found. I
check the folder and there is nothing in the folder. I restore the files
from backup and it works for a few days and then it disappears again with not
apparent reason.
I also find that occasionally my desktop background picture does not appear
and that usually occurs when the pst file disappears. I can go into destop
propertys and background and it comes back.
I running Windows XP Pro SP3 with Zonealarm security suite and I have run
deep scans to see if it is a virus problem. I've recreated my profile, I've
run a repair on the pst file (which is about 700mb) and I ran repair on
Office 2003. But the problem persist.
Can anyone offer any advice on what is causing the file to be deleted (it
doesn't appear in the recycle bin).?
