At work, when my computer hasn't been used for a while it "times out",
that is, the screen goes black and I need to enter a password to
resume work. This is not a problem. The problem is that when it starts
up again the first thing on the screen is a particular module from the
PERSONAL.XLSB workbook. This means that the VBE is open and I can see
that there is also a PERSONAL.XLS file. I don't know how I got
the .XLSB file except that it seems to have appeared around the time
that we upgraded to Excel 2007 from 2003. The two files are identical
except for the one module in the .XLSB file which is the one that
opens when the computer wakes up. Another odd thing is that if I
record a macro and chose to store it in my Personal Macro Book that
will put it in the .XLS file and not .XLSB. Does any one know why I
have both of these files and why one opens up automatically like that?
