personal views & sharing workbooks

i have a very large workbook that is shared by many
users. yesterday, some of the users had problems with
their personal view. to make a long story short...now
everyone that uses this file has to locate their view
before beginning work. this can present a problem when
working with all types of people. can anyone tell me how
to save a workbook view so that everytime you go back into
it automatically knows who you are or your view. someone
set this up for us once before but she no longer works for
the corporation. any knowledge on this would be
appreciated.
