Hi

I have seen a post in the past saying that you can make a set of macros
avilable to other workbooks by creating a personal.xls and putting it in the
xlstart folder. It also said this workbook would be hidden but the macros
available.

I am using Excel 2002 and have tried this by placing a workbook called
personal.xls in c:\program files\microsoft office\office10\xlstart. However,
when I open the Excel application the workbook personal.xls is displayed on
the screen. What do I need to do to make this remain hidden.

From then Excel menu:
Windows|Hide
Close Excel and answer YES to save changes in personnal.xls

Please also note that when recording macros in the personnal macro workbook
(option available from the record macro menu), PERSONAL.XLS will be hidden
by default.
