Personalized email (bulk) without attachment?

I would like to send an email to a distribution group.
However I would like:

1) The email to be personalized (i.e., addressed to one
person, using their name in the email).
2) I dont have an attachment to send.

Is their any way to do this outlook 2000?

That requires a mail merge. Mail merges cannot use distribution lists.
Outlook uses Word for performing mail merge functions such as Form Letters,
mailing labels, envelopes, and fax or email merges. For an overview of these
